Acceptance of terms.
By creating an account or using Scrivana, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. You must be at least 13 years old to use Scrivana.
Your account.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may only maintain one account. Creating duplicate accounts to circumvent moderation decisions is prohibited.
You agree to provide accurate information when you register and to keep it up to date.
Content you own.
You retain copyright over any writing you submit to Scrivana. By submitting content, you grant Scrivana a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform and in promotional materials for the platform.
This license exists solely to operate Scrivana. We do not claim ownership of your writing, and we do not use it for purposes outside the platform without your separate consent.
Collaborative content.
When a paragraph you wrote is voted into the canon of a collaborative story, it becomes part of a shared community work. You are credited for your contribution. However, no single contributor can claim exclusive ownership of a completed collaborative story — the work is a product of many voices.
If your account is deleted, your contributions that are part of community stories remain in the canon, attributed anonymously.
Prohibited conduct.
You may not use Scrivana to post or submit content that is illegal, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or obscene. You may not plagiarize or submit content that infringes on the rights of others.
Automated submissions — bots, scripts, or AI-generated content submitted as your own without disclosure — are prohibited. You may not impersonate other users or Scrivana staff. Repeated voting manipulation or coordinated gaming of the round system will result in account suspension.
Moderation.
Scrivana reserves the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you if your account is suspended and to give you an opportunity to appeal via our support channel.
Platform availability.
Scrivana is provided as-is. We do not guarantee any particular uptime or that features will remain unchanged. We may pause, modify, or discontinue any part of the platform with or without notice, though we will endeavor to give reasonable advance warning for significant changes.
Limitation of liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scrivana and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Scrivana shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim — or, if you have not paid anything, $100.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
Changes to these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the date below. We will give you at least 14 days notice before material changes take effect, by email or by a notice on the platform. Continued use of Scrivana after that period constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
